About Us

​Bahiti encourages positive body image, personal expression through dance, and helps to build self confidence and awareness. Belly dancing is a great, sensual way to tone and strengthen your body in an encouraging and enjoyable environment. We offer classes ranging from brand-new beginner up to advanced specialized techniques. Our styles include egyptian, polynesian, bollywood fusion, and tribal fusion. We welcome all ages, abilities, body shapes and sizes!

Beginner 

Beginner adult classes are focused on the cardio aspect along side of technique. This class is kept fun and upbeat, high energy and positive. The rate of the class is dependent on the people within it. 

The speed of the class can be increased or decreased as it fits the class. Basic moves (pops, shimmies) are taught and then layered together. Classes always begin with some stretching and some warm up shimmies, which are then followed by floor work; 
Half way through, classes are slowed down with some arm work and more stretching; Classes are finished with more up-beat floor work and belly rolls at the end.

Advanced

​​​​Adding on from the beginner class, students learn how to layer and increasing diffulty with the basic technique moves. (Performance opportunities)

Little Shimmies

Belly buddy classes are designed as a fun activity for younger girls who are interested in dancing, and having a good time. Belly buddies learn what it means to be part of a team, while also learning coordination. Bahiti works with youth to encourage a strong self image and confidence. Team work is an important aspect of dancing with Bahiti, and having fun is a must!
